The International Child Development Center (ICDC) is a non-profit early intervention center founded in Armenia in 2006 by Dr. Ira Paul Heilveil, PhD, BCBA-D, QBA. Since 2010, the Center has been led by Executive Director Narine Vardanyan, MA, QBA.
School Program
Since 2010, ICDC has provided School Program Support through a resource classroom model for children with autism and other developmental needs attending mainstream schools. The resource classroom offers an individualized and supportive learning environment where children receive assistance in developing academic readiness, communication, social participation, classroom behavior, independence, and the skills needed to take part more successfully in school life.
The program is implemented in close collaboration with classroom teachers, school specialists, and families. Support is adapted to each child’s individual needs and may include preparation for classroom activities, assistance with school routines, individualized teaching, and gradual participation in the general education setting.
Professional Training
Since 2022, ICDC has been an approved coursework provider for the Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) credential through the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board. The ABAT coursework prepares specialists to apply foundational behavior-analytic principles in practice.
ICDC also provides seminars, workshops, supervision, practical training, and educational programs for specialists and parents.
Our Mission
Through early intervention, multidisciplinary therapy, school-program support, professional training, parent education, inclusive education, research, and international collaboration, ICDC works to improve the quality of services available to children and families in Armenia.
ICDC provides evidence-based early intervention services for children from 1 to 6 years of age who have autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, communication difficulties, behavioral challenges, or other developmental support needs.

Individualized Programs
Assessment, direct observation, ongoing data collection, and regular progress monitoring are essential parts of each child's individualized program. Parents and caregivers are active partners and receive consultation, practical guidance, structured training, and support for helping children use acquired skills in everyday life.
