Armenia will host world-renowned physicians and scientists in May, 2023: The main medical event of the year, the Asian Congress of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology, will be held.
The 15th Asian Congress of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP Asia 2023 XV Congress) will be held in Armenia from 18-21 May, 2023.
 

The congress aims to bring the world's pediatric oncology community together to share their research, insights, and best practices for treating childhood cancer worldwide.
SIOP Asia 2023 will feature a diverse range of topics and educational sessions, covering the latest advancements in childhood cancer research and various cancer types. Apart from educational sessions dedicated to different fields of pediatric oncology, parallel workshops and symposiums will also be organized. These will provide participants the opportunity to have more interactive discussions on specific cases and topics.

The congress, one of the largest in the field, is a very important medical event of the year. Hundreds of world-renowned doctors and scientists will visit Armenia, get acquainted with the Armenian medical infrastructure and potential. It will foster new opportunities for cooperation and boost development in the pediatric oncology field.
The International Society of Pediatric Oncology is the only organization in the world dedicated entirely to the research and treatment of all aspects of childhood and adolescence cancer, as well as to the advancement and development of knowledge in this field. In accordance with SIOP’s vision, no child should die of cancer: cure for more, care for all.
The Congress to be held in 2023 in Armenia will also highlight the aforementioned vision. Speeches will be delivered by prominent specialists of the sphere, heads of institutions and scientific commissions from all over the world: from the USA, China, Japan, Russia, India, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Lebanon, Great Britain, Greece, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Sweden and other countries.

Co-organizers of the congress are: Yerevan State Medical University, Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, which is part of Hematology Center named after. Prof. R.H.Yeolyan, and City of Smile Charitable Foundation.

The Asian continental branch of SIOP has founded its own society, called SIOP Asia. SIOP Asia aims at promoting optimal standards of care for children and young people with cancer. This society is dedicated to enhancing cancer awareness, diagnosis and treatment of children. This year, the 15th SIOP Asia Annual Congress will be held on May 18-21, 2023 in Yerevan, Armenia.

About SIOP
The Société Internationale d’Oncologie Pédiatrique/International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) is the only global multidisciplinary community with over 2600 pediatric hematology/oncology professionals. SIOP was formed on November 6, 1969, as a small group of specialists at the Institut Gustave-Roussy (IGR) in Villejuif, Paris, whose mission was to advance the study and care of children with cancer, a basic mission that continues to this day.
